This source describes what the two atomic bombs were like that the United States used to bomb Japan in 1944. It describes the effects of what it did to the people, the environment, and many other things. These are the bombs that ended World War 2 and unfortuantly, it killed many innocent people in Japan and even the people that lived through it, it affected the rest of their lives. Afterwords, the Soviet Union and the United States started to get into a scientific arms race and eventually the Soviet Union created their own atomic bomb.

Truman's Papers are a summation of drafts and legally bonded documents that show his representation to both Congress, the House of Representatives, and the Supreme Court. All of these documents are properly organized by their dates and times. In one example, Truman's Confidential Files are shown and summarize any sort of facts (damage of the Atomic Bomb, number of people killed, nuclear energy requirement) are identified to be made to the public.
This primary source is extremely significant because it shows Truman's necessity to hide the damage of the atomic bomb, and shows American regret of imperialism and intervention into the World Wars. Even though Japanese Axis powers had attacked Pearl Harbor, appeasement would have probably led to a safer, non-violent outcome.
